A Women's World Café event, "Healing the Divide: Women Leading Courageous Conversations for Change," brings women together to tackle pressing global and societal challenges-including media literacy, women in crisis, immigration, and confronting bias-through the constructive lens of Appreciative Inquiry.
The experience features a dynamic group of panelists who will ground these heavy topics in real-world insights, sharing stories of hope and proven strategies that are already working.
Rather than focusing on deficits or political friction, this collaborative space guides participants through four intentional phases- Understanding, Perspective, Possibility, and Action-to uncover hidden resilience, celebrate what is already working, and co-create forward thinking solutions. By cross-pollinating ideas in structured, small group dialogue rounds, attendees will harness their collective wisdom to bridge deep social divides, transform vulnerability into shared strength, and spark tangible, community-led change.
The event is Co-hosted by Cortnee McIlwee & Kristy Estelle with Panelists:
- Kimia Ebrahimzadeh, Human Rights Activist from Iran
- April Roy, Dir. of Employee Success at Kansas City Public Library
- Jaklyn Smith, Community Partnerships Coordinator at Hope House
